We all want to find a good deal. Why pay full price when you don’t have to, right? Well, here’s a cool service that I realize few people are aware of. It’s called Amazon Local. I’ve been using the Amazon.com service since it’s inception and consider myself a power user. But I only recently learned about Amazon Local.
So, what is Amazon Local? It is a marketplace of community businesses promoting their products and services. You use your existing Amazon login credentials and filter your searches based on the goods or services you want. The businesses in the search results you receive are local to whatever zip code you enter. The only down side is Amazon Local is only domestic. There aren’t any international business participating as of this writing.
It works like Groupon. You pay for things up front and receive a voucher that you present to the vendor. It’ll give you randomly-selected available deals for the area you have chosen, or you can do a search for specific things. The prices offer you great savings, along the lines of Amazon’s normal discounted prices. Check out Amazon Local and search the travel section before you book your next trip. You could save a lot of cash.
