Unplug For Peace: Passport Not Required

For most of Passport Required’s and my 2015 accomplishments, I send a “thank you” to several friends who found a way to make me put my phone down to focus on what mattered most at that time. It wasn’t until a meeting with a mentor who uses meditation in his daily life that I realized how important it was to be centered. It took a while to get used to, but it happened, and I found the peace and the calm I desperately needed. I posted a few meditations here and there for folks to use, and I heard the many stories of how they worked.

Why meditate? Because meditation helps ease stress, creates better sleep, aids in emotional stability, brings about positive thinking, and helps many find happiness and a truer meaning of many things. Of course a weekend isn’t enough, but it’s certainly enough to get you started down the path.

While planning the 2016 calendar, it was proposed that Passport Required plan a Passport Not required getaway. A time we can turn off the phones, unplug from the outside, find real human connections, and find our way back to self. After all, isn’t this very necessary?

It sounds easy, but trust me, it’s not for the faint. We will take your phone at the door and you won’t get it back until it’s time to leave. Can you handle it?
