Road Trip Through Autumn: NYC to Montreal

Since I was wee bitty child, I’ve been in love with Autumn. It’s that magical time of year when the trees show us just how important it is, and freeing it can be, to let go of all dead things. Also, tree lined streets look amazing for these few months. Since those days of old, I’ve wanted to hop in the car and drive north and see those Norman Rockwell-like representations of Autumn. So I did.

I announced a trip to Montreal, Quebec, Canada, talked to my boy Matthew about stealing his car, and hit the road. Driving from NYC, through Albany, Saratoga Springs, and the Adirondacks, I couldn’t help but notice the millions of shades of reds, yellows, greens, blues, and white. Purely amazing! This is Autumn. As often as I say the journey is more important than the destination, this time is especially true.

If you’re like me and love Autumn, take a short trip up the road by plane, train, bus, or car and see if in more places than just your street. Winter is coming.
