I Was Unable To Shop Like Rick Ross

“I just landed in Europe, *****. Shopping bags, I’m a tourist, *****. Money talks, I speak fluent, *****.” – Rick Ross (Fuckwithmeyouknowigotit)

While I believe Rick Ross is an issue, I also appreciate his subtle way of telling us that because he’s able to shop in Europe, he’s rich. Which leads us to check out one of my new favorite sites: xe.com

If traveling abroad, PLEASE learn the conversion rate. Imagine the shock on my face when I realized I wouldn’t be buying ANY souvenirs for myself on this trip because it takes 1.6 US Dollars to create a whole British Pound, and I wasn’t happy with that outcome. I believe I ate a raw burger in Barcelona, but I didn’t see many options because of the 1.6USD = 1EURO bullshit.

Basically, the American dollar held no weight on my trip, broadening my “Live Free, Die Poor” brand.

2. If you really want to impress the world with your “baller” status, head to where the USD means little and do some big shopping.

3. Bookmark www.XE.com on your phone.
